ABOUT
EMPATH is an LA-based fashion label created by Japanese & Singaporean designer Emily Arakawa. EMPATH’s design codes are founded in 90’s minimal silhouettes combined with influences from Japanese culture. Inspired by her upbringing in Tokyo, the label explores the archetype of a contemporary city girl navigating self-expression through a capsule wardrobe that fuses everyday basics with subversive edge. Each collection is sustainably and ethically made following the core values: locally made, small batch production, and deadstock fabric.
FULL TRANSPARENCY
As aa women-owned small business, EMPATH prioritizes fair wages, sustainability and transparency in our supply chain and production process. The cut & sew line is produced entirely in Los Angeles in small quantities, often times utilizing locally sourced dead stock materials. By shipping with compostable packaging and keeping the majority of our production process local to LA, we are able to to minimize our carbon footprint.
